Dominican Rep. Santiago League round 6 best performance: Jonathan Holton (by Interperformances)- February 27, 2020
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out CDP (#3, 5-5) 104-103. Sameji maintains the 6th position in Dominican Rep. Santiago League. Sameji is bottom ranked team in the standings. They need more victories to leave last spot and improve bad 3-6 record. In the team's last game Holton had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Sameji and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Jonathan Holton averages just after two games 18.0ppg and 12.5rpg. The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old American Paris Bass (203-SF-95) of CDP. Bass had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as CDP was edged by the lower-ranked Sameji (#6, 3-6) 104-103. CDP managed to keep the same 3rd spot in the standings. His team's 5-5 record is not bad at all. Bass is one of the most experienced players at CDP and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.9ppg (#6). He also registered 11.6 boards per game. Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Branden Dawson (198-F-93) of Plaza (#4). Dawson scored 27 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Dawson's great performance Plaza lost 101-106 to slightly lower-ranked Cupes (#5, 4-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Plaza ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Dawson could help Plaza to bring them higher in the standings. Dawson has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.6ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 13.6rpg (#1 in league). He also has 4.3bpg and FGP: 62.3%. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
